Ian G. Clifton is an Android developer who has had a variety of experiences both in and out of technology. He is currently working for ARO in Seattle, WA and also talking several other projects such as technical review of Android books, production of an Android video series, multiple Android apps, photography, and other interests.
In July 2001, Ian entered into the Air Force and became a “Satellite, Wideband, and Telemetry Systems Journeyman.” He learned a lot about the world and himself in the military as well as a variety of subjects that he took during accelerated night college courses.
After his four-year enlistment was complete, Ian went to Western Washington University where he earned a degree in English and Secondary Education and also worked as a web developer. When graduating from WWU, he quickly found that the economy had not created a great environment for new teachers but the technology sector was still expanding. He got a job as a web developer for Treemo Labs, transitioning into a mobile developer. There, he worked on apps such as CNET News, Rick Steves’ Audio Europe, and Big Brother.
In July of 2011, it became time for Ian to move on and look for new challenges. He started some personal Android projects and began work at ARO in September.
